How does car remapping for petrol, TDi, GTi and HDi engines actually work?

Since the early 1990s most engines have been controlled by an on-board computer. This computer controls the engine control unit (ECU) which among many things controls the ignition timing, fuel system for the cars engine speed and load.  Car remapping lets us change the way the ECU on the engine is controlled.  With a tuned engine the performance of your car can be improved.

We provide engine remapping for many different cars and car types. Engine tuning is different from a GTi or a turbo-diesel and petrol engine. 

Every ECU map is different and specific to each car model and make. to provide optimised settings, ensuring that each remap is as individual as the software inside your ECU, safely eliminating performance limitations.

The remapping process is installed via computer usually through the car’s diagnostic port and we don’t touch the ECU itself.

The price for a Stage one remap starts from £249.

Finally, we always test your vehicle thoroughly making sure everything is operating as it should be.
